Full CV

Angela studied Fine Art at Central Saint Martins (Byam Shaw) and graduated in 2010. She works mainly in sculpture and installation and commonly makes use of discarded and recycled materials. She lives and works in South East London. Drawing on her background in geology, hydrogeology and environmental consultancy Angela creates work that explores the traces and imprints of human consumption on the natural world, often within a geological time scale.

Prior to studying Fine Art, Angela worked for over ten years as a consultant in the environmental sector. She was a facilitator specialising in the design and delivery of stakeholder engagement and communication strategies. She also worked as a hydrogeologist in water resources, contaminated land and risk assessment and was subsequently involved in planning and land use, regeneration, community development, minerals and waste planning, sustainable development, CSR and environmental reporting.  Angela ran her own independent consultancy Angela McMahon Associates (AMA) for over two years.  She has worked for a diverse range of clients including government agencies, local authorities, businesses, community groups, development agencies and industry research bodies.
